山西传媒学院（山西传媒，Communication University of Shanxi），于1983年始建，坐落于山西省晋中市、太原市，前身是华北广播电视学校，由中国国家广播电视总局和山西省人民政府共建，是中国培养广播影视及其他传媒专门人才的主要基地之一，山西省首批“部校共建卓越新闻传播人才培养基地”高校。
学校于1990年成立广播电影电视部管理干部学院，2013年4月建立山西传媒学院。 2016年，学校与山西大学联合培养专业学位硕士研究生试点正式签约。该校多年来为中央和各级各类传媒领域培养了大批专业人才，在业界人士口中有“老华广”之称。学校是中国第三大传媒院校，全国三所公办传媒本科院校之一，国家新闻出版广电总局干部培训基地，中国戏剧影视学术研究基地，国家动画教学研究基地、山西省高等学校人文社会科学重点研究基地、山西省中小企业创业基地。

Comprehensive public general undergraduate course
Shanxi Communication University of Shanxi, formerly known as North China Radio and Television School, was founded in 1983 by the National Radio and Television Administration of China and the People's Government of Shanxi Province, and is located in Jinzhong and Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. It is one of the main bases for training radio, film, television and other media professionals in China, and one of the first universities in Shanxi Province to "cultivate excellent journalism and communication talents jointly built by departments and universities".
The Management Cadre College of Radio, Film and Television Department was established in 1990, and Shanxi Media College was established in April 2013. In 2016, the school and Shanxi University officially signed a pilot agreement to jointly train professional master's students. Over the years, the school has trained a large number of professionals for the central government and various media fields at all levels, and is known as "Old Huaguang" in the industry. School is the third largest media institutions in China, one of the three public media by undergraduate course colleges and universities across the country, state general administration of press and publication, radio and television cadres training base, Chinese opera, film and television academic research base, national animation teaching and research base, shanxi higher school of humanities and social science research base, business base in Shanxi Province small and medium-sized enterprises (smes).
